Carlos Castro

Carlos Castro Mora (born 10 September 1978) is a Costa Rican football player.

He played for a few teams, including LD Alajuelense, Diaraf de Dakar in Senegal and Rubin Kazan in Russia . He has played as left back or midfielder and dribbles and crosses well. In January 2007 he signed on a free for Norwegian firstdivision club, FK Haugesund.

He made his debut for the Ticos in 2000 against Paraguay and collected his 46th and last cap (until September 2006) in 2005 against China. Castro was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, featuring in midfield in all three games. He also played in the 1997 World Youth Cup.

Carlos Castro is also the name of a Salvadoran novelist. His first novel is "El libro de los desvaríos."
