Carlos Camacho

Carlos G. Camacho (born November 16, 1924December 16, 1979), was a U.S. Republican Party politician. He served as Governor of Guam from 1969 to 1975.

He was born in Agana, Guam. From 1946 to 1949, he attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1952, he earned a D.D.S. degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Originally appointed in 1969, he became Guam's first elected governor the following year. He was married to the former Lourdes Perez, and had six childrren, including Guam's current governor, Felix Perez Camacho.
