Carlo Zotti (born 3 September 1982 in Benevento) is an Italian football goalkeeper, currently plays for Sampdoria, on loan from A.S. Roma.

[edit] Football career

Zotti start his career at A.S. Roma, but his first-team experience was limited by experienced Francesco Antonioli, Ivan Pelizzoli and Cristiano Lupatelli. He also had to compete with other young keepers such as Pietro Pipolo and Gianluca Curci. On 2005, he was loaned to Ascoli Calcio 1898 to seek for more appearances. He signed a long-term contract with A.S. Roma.[1]

He was back to Roma in summer 2006, because Roma signed Julio Sergio Bertagnoli, Zotti became 4th choice, and Roma found difficult to seek club to loan them out, Zotti played Primavera in 2006-07 season. For this reason on January 2007 he has been sent on loan to U.C. Sampdoria.

[edit] International career

He is in the squad of Italy U21 team that won 2004 European Under-21 Football Championship, but was an unused sub.
