Carlo Schmid (Swiss politician)

Carlo Schmid-Sutter (born March 11, 1950) is a Swiss politician, member (since 1980) and former president (1999/2000) of the Swiss Council of States. Since 1984, he is member of the cantonal government of Appenzell Innerrhoden.
From 1992 to 1994, he presided the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland (CVP/PDC).
