Carling Academy Glasgow

The Glasgow Carling Academy is a music venue on Eglinton Street in the Gorbals area of Glasgow. It holds 2,500 people, and has hosted bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Velvet Revolver, The Killers, and Dio. It is one of a group of music venues in Britain branded Carling Academy, the best known including Brixton and Birmingham.

The Killers show at the venue reportedly sold out in just 2 minutes.

The venue is housed in the former New Bedford Cinema which underwent a £3million refurbishment project to turn it into a 2,500 person music venue. The venue opened on the 26th of March 2003 with the band Deacon Blue.
