This is an article about a baseball player. For sociologist, see Carl C. Taylor.

Carl Taylor (Born January 20, 1944 in Sarasota, Florida) was Major League Baseball player from 1968 to 1973. Taylor was used as a backup-outfielder, used mainly for his fielding ability. Taylor was usually not good at hitting, all but two years hitting under a .250 batting average. However, Taylor had an outlier year in 1969, when he had a career high by more than 70 points, a .348 batting average.
