Carl Edwin Lindgren is a noted historical scholar, educationist and professor of military studies. He is listed on several editorial boards and the author of over 200 journal and magazine articles (50 of which are referenced on Wikipedia). Dr. Lindgren has been elected a fellow of various noted academies including the World Academy of Art and Science, World Innovation Foundation (with over 70 Nobel Prize winners),Academy of National Security of Defense and Law (Ministry of Education, Russian Federation), Studium"- Accademia di Casale e del Monferrato per l'Arte, la Letteratura, le Scienze e le Varie Umanità , Academia Belgo-Espanola de Historia and Europaische Akademie der Naturwissenschaften. He is also founder (1974) of the International Academy for the Promotion of Scientific Research (Rebublic of Georgia/USA).

Much of his current work is in peace activities and human rights. Lindgren is also a noted Faulkerian photographer and Catholic Transhumanist.

Lindgren received his BAE, MEd and SEd from the University of Mississippi; FCP ( eq. MPhil) from the London College of Teachers and doctorate from UNISA as well of postdoctorate work from schools in the USA, England, India, South Africa and the Russian Federation.

Dr. Lindgren has received several honours including decorations from the Vatican and dynastic royal houses in Europe, Africa and Asia; the A.R.N. Anniversary Medal, awarded by The Most Illustrious Prince Andrei Sergeevich Obolensky, Marshal of the Russian Assembly of Nobility and the Medal of Lomonosov (Russia).
