Carl Franklin

Carl Franklin (born April 11, 1949 in Richmond, California) is an African-American film director and actor. He attended the AFI Conservatory and graduated with an M.F.A. degree in 1986. Carl is most noted for Devil in a Blue Dress, which was based on the book by Walter Mosley and starred Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle. He also attended the University of California, Berkeley.
