From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Spanish profanity word Carajo, meaning "penis". However, its original meaning is the naval term crow's nest; it's also used in several different ways, and might refer to:

  • Cargados Carajos, group of small islands at the Indian Ocean.
  • Carajo, rock/metal band from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  • Alfaro Vive, Carajo! 1995 album by At the Drive-In.
  • Word that can be used to express surprise, anger or emphasis like ¿Que carajo quieres? (What the hell do you want?), ¡vete al carajo! (go to hell!) (a remainder of the word's original meaning: to send someone to the crow's nest) and ¿Que es eso, carajo? (My god, what is that?) often meaning "hell" or "fuck" depending on context. It is mainly used in South America
