Caracas Fútbol Club, usually known as Caracas F.C. or just Caracas, is a Venezuelan football team from Caracas. The club has won eight First Division titles.
They are nicknamed Los Rojos del Avila, or the "Red's from Avila." This refers to their red jerseys as well as Cerro El Ávila, a mountain near Caracas.
[edit] History
In the early 1980s, the team, named Yamaha at that time, played on several amateur championships with success. In 1984, the team was renamed as Caracas-Yamaha, and was introduced to the Venezuelan Professional Football League to participate in the Second Division Championship. The team obtained their ticket to the First Division after winning the Second Division Championship in their first season.
