Carab Saalax

Carab Saalax is a Somali clan, part of the Bin Neebir group of the Mehri Ismail clan. It is a neutral clan in the Somali Civil War. The clan is originally from a part of Yemen called Taiz, where the current governor is a Carab Saalax Somali. The Carab Saalax mainly reside in Puntland. The Carab Saalax were traveling back and forth between Somalia and Yemen. They were business people that helped connect Somalia with the Arab world. Also, Carab Saalax aren't Majerteen or Darod as well. They immigrated from Yemen 500 hundred years ago and married people from the Mudug area.
