Cara DeLizia (born April 10, 1984 in Silver Spring, Maryland) is a young American television actress most known for her potrayal as Fiona "Fi" Phillips alongside Mackenzie Phillips in the Disney Original Series So Weird.
Cara was born to Sherry and James Delizia. She got her start in acting at the age of 5 doing theater productions. She was later discovered and starred regularly in the WB's Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher. Later she had guest spots on Mad About You, 7th Heaven, The West Wing, Strong Medicine, and ER. She has also starred in several TV movies and had minor roles in several motion pictures such as Sleepless in Seattle and Avalon.
It was her role on So Weird that was her breakout. She starred as Fiona "Fi" Phillips, a 13 year old girl obsessed with the paranormal. She traveled around the country on a comeback tour bus with her rockstar mother (Mackenzie Phillips). At various stops along the way Fi would encounter paranormal activity ranging from aliens, ghosts, to Bigfoot. Fi's driving force was her obsession with finding out what had caused her father's death when she was a child. Her investigations culminated in the shows Season 2 finale. DeLizia left the show in the Season 3 premiere and was replaced by a young Canadian Alexz Johnson. To that point, the show had been quite "dark" for a Disney show in the vein of The X-Files. However when DeLizia departed the show took on a much lighter tone for the remainder of its run.
Her other major role was as Marcy Kendall on the Fox Drama Boston Public where she played the principal's assistant to Chi McBride's Principal Harper.
DeLizia is currently engaged (as of 2001) and living in Burbank, California.
