[edit] Torrasque
Hi, I reverted your edit to Torrasque per the WP:NOT policy. If you want to explain why I shouldn't have reverted it, leave me a message and I will be happy to talk this over with you. Thanks, and happy editing! Zeratul En Taro Adun!So be it. 17:27, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Signature Book
Hi Captain panda! I noticed you want to create a signature book; all you have to do is create a subpage for it. For example, type "User:Captain panda/Autograph Book" into the searchbox, and click "go". Then click "create page", and add whatever you think is necessary to the page. Here are some exapmles. Good luck! | AndonicO Talk | Sign Here 22:41, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
You could also just create a section on your userpage. Either way it's your choice. Tennis DyNamiTe (sign here) 23:09, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to the Military history WikiProject!
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, peer review, and project-wide collaboration.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- Our requests page has extensive lists of requested articles, images, maps, and translations.
- We've developed a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Kirill Lokshin 05:44, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding your articles about Starcraft
With all due respect, I really think that you should take a look at WP:WAF. Articles should not be written in an in-universe style. As my knowledge of Starcraft is as n00bish as a Zergling rush, I can't really help you in such a task. Just bringing this up. bibliomaniac15 04:09, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't really think that a complete rewrite is necessary, only some tweaking around is needed. bibliomaniac15 21:54, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Signature
Hello Captain panda. I'd like to requests that you remove the word "Mussolini" from your signature; I can't interpret it as anything other than a reference to Benito Mussolini, although I assume that there is a meaning aside from the murderous dictator. It will no doubt be offensive to some, so I think you're better off without it. Picaroon 18:10, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, okay. While your explanation certainly makes sense, I think some are still likely to be offended by it; the general populace knows enough about World War II to associate "Mussolini" with "bad," but doesn't know enough to pick up on the fact that you are, in fact, mocking him. I'd recommend changing it, but it's your choice. Picaroon 18:49, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- "In wine, truth." That's a good one. Thanks for changing it. Picaroon 19:45, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RfA response
Hi. In responding to your question, I cited a link to the ArbCom itself calling my admin work superlative; if that is not acceptable, what kind of evidence are you looking for? Do you want diffs showing actual admin work, to look at my admin logs, etc.? I really don't understand. Everyking 05:09, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:RfA/Riana_dzasta
Hi Captain Panda! You !voted neutral at my RfA before, and now you've voted support. I was wondering whether you could clear that up (if it's somewhere between support and neutral, I can appreciate that too :p ) Cheers, riana_dzasta 02:26, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] VegaDark's Request for Adminship
Thank you for supporting my RfA. It was successful at a unanimous 52/0/0. I hope I can live up to the kind words expressed of me there, and hope to now be more of an asset to the community with access to the tools. Please feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any suggestions for me in the future. Thanks again! VegaDark 07:31, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My editor review
Thanks! Hey, no worries about you being a newbie. As quite a lot of interactions here are with newbies, I'm quite interested to know whether I can improve in that area in particular, so you should have a very valuable angle on the review. I look forward to hearing from you. --Dweller 08:23, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Trebor Rowntree RfA
How does "erratic edit count" compellingly suggest sockpuppetry? The lowest edit count is for July through September last year. Couldn't he simply have been on summer vacation or otherwise busy IRL? I don't know if you have any experience with that user, but to an outsider it may seem like assumption of bad faith to allege dishonest motives right away. If I was in your place, I'd rather have put this in the form of a question. Maybe he actually has a convincing answer? —KNcyu38 (talk • contribs) 03:10, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Trebor Rowntree
I'm mistaken; Trebor Rowntree is not a sockpuppet. You may want to remove your oppose vote. My apologies. Ral315 » 04:19, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Please re-visit this RfA and update your comments in light of the new information. I am not urging you to either support or oppose the candidate but I believe your !vote as it currently stands is predicated upon information that has been demonstrated not to be true. If you have the time, could you share your thoughts on how to improve the article? I replaced an older revision with more streamlined and authentic citations, but if you have suggestions, please place them on the talk page. [edit] My RfA
Thanks for your support in my recent RfA which passed unanimously - thus proving that you can indeed fool some of the people some of the time. I'm still coming to terms with the new functionality I have, but so far nothing bad has happened. As always, if there's anything you need to let me know, just drop me a line on my Talk page. [edit] "Unsourced"
The articles Torrasque and Hunter Killer (StarCraft) both received a tagging of unsourced. They both contain sources, but only primary sources. I'm sorry if it is supposed to do that, but I figured they should be tagged as lacking secondary sources. Captain panda In vino veritas 13:14, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- No probs. It actually dates existing tags, does not (generally) add new ones. I would actually argue that in these two articles,"primary sources" are fine and dandy, and are all that is needed. Statements such as "The Zerg are the most horrifying creature in the video game" would require an external source, of course, but factual statements that are easily verified by playing the game or reading the manual seem fine to me. Rich Farmbrough, 13:49 2 March 2007 (GMT).
[edit] Entrusted with the Bucket!
Thank you for supporting me in my RfA. Thanks for your vote, I've received an overwhelming 96% support and successfully took a copy of bucket-and-mop from the main office!

Feel free to use anything you like. I myself copied the code for that page into a template, from two other users, and changed the color and pictures. If you would like to copy my entire userpage design, go ahead. I don't own my page. ;) Thanks for liking it. :) · AO Talk 09:22, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

First off thanks for my review but I must point out in the case of the stubbing I explained my reasons very clearly many times. I'm not really worried about high school students opposing me as the RfA will not be advertised on my user page. BJTalk 04:24, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
