[edit] Thanks much

Thanks much for cleaning up the vandalism on my page. I appreciate it a ton and helps me out when someone else does it for me. So again, thanks much and feel free to tell me if there is anything I can do in return! Chickyfuzz123(user talk) 01:58, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

You're quite welcome. Good luck with the exams! CaptainVindaloo t c e 03:06, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Runescape Cheat Sites

huh, i thought wikipedia was about informing people, not being SILENT on certain subjects. it makes sense to have a couple of the MOST POPULAR cheating websites listed, or at least mentioned. perhaps there should be an article about runescape cheating instead. you can not make wikipedia jagex's puppet.

Jeremybub 01:58, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, but cheat sites are *not* appropriate here. They do nothing to improve the article, they are a potential threat to RuneScape players (drive-by keylogger attacks), and they give Jagex sufficient reason to order us to remove the RuneScape screenshots in the articles. Cheating also ruins the game for legitimate players. CaptainVindaloo t c e 02:12, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

that does not make sense... if you do not want people getting keylogged, then show them real cheats, and they will not find the viruses.you should not just pretent real cheating does not exist. Jeremybub 02:32, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm not pretending it doesn't exist. I'm also not pretending that those links harm the article. Excessive fansite links are bad enough, never mind cheat sites. CaptainVindaloo t c e 02:37, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

perhaps, just the single most popular site? Jeremybub 04:03, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

That's a matter for Talk:RuneScape, but I doubt it. We might as well be linking to a hacking site in the Microsoft Windows article, and it'll need a higher Alexa rank than the RuneHQ, Tip.it and Zybez fansites. CaptainVindaloo t c e 21:13, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:ES4 DremoraMarkynaz.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Radiation Cruft

Heh thanks you taught me a new word! bags whould of known it ment that. and yea i like extra information when i read about stuff like that because well like i said i get so into the article i want to know EVERYTHING lol. but on the runescape its not possable to put everything but i dont mind just a little extra. Maverick423 15:36, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

No problem. I think WP:CRUFT is good advice, but so is WP:POPE. There's no need to go on mass campaigns of annihilation, just need to keep it reasonable. CaptainVindaloo t c e 17:12, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Garion96's RFA

Thank you for your support in my request for adminship which closed successfully last night. <insert spam> I would also like to encourage you to vote often (just in case you don't) on other candidates since we need more admins. </insert spam> It was nice to see someone again why I gave the official wikipedia welcome. :) Happy editing, Garion96 (talk) 00:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome! CaptainVindaloo t c e 02:03, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE:Image:Karamja.jpg

I got the image from the official RS map. Hope that helps - • The Giant Puffin • 09:10, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

You mean the in game map? I'll put that as the source then. Cheers, CaptainVindaloo t c e 16:29, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

Thank you for your support in my my recent RfA in which I withdrew because the oppose votes were almost equalling the supporters. I then decided to leave my account (Tellyaddict) and start fresh under a new username, however I quickly decided to reconsider after another user persuaded me not to leave the account - I am now glad I did reconsider because leaving that account and creating a new one was too hasty so I've decided to improve rather than starting again! I hope we can remain civil and that there were no negative feelings caused. Again, thanks for your support even though I withdrew it, your vote is much appreciated! Regards - Tellyaddict (Talk) 19:42, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome. Better luck next time. I've got RfA watclisted now, so I won't miss it. CaptainVindaloo t c e 21:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject MMO Newsletter - April 2007

WikiProject MMO Quarterly
April 2007 Issue I
About Us
WikiProject MMO Quarterly is a quarterly newsletter posted on the first of January, April, July, and October. The newsletter is written by any and all interested members of WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games for members of the project and interested Wikipedians outside of the project.
Questions, comments, and concerns
For general questions, comments, and concerns, leave a message on our talk page here. For questions, comments, and concerns about our newsletter, leave a message on the talk page for the newsletter section of our Outreach Department here.
New good articles and featured articles
Good articles and featured articles are a great way to see what major acomplishments we have made over the last quarter.

Good articles

Featured articles
None this quarter!

Role call
We ask that within a month, all members sign our role call to show that they are still active participants in the project. More information is available on the role call page.
Major news
WikiProject RuneScape, our former child project, was moved to become a task force of this project in January as it had a small scope but the task force is still going strong to this very day.

This past quarter marks the beginning of our new collaboration system MMOGCM. Past collaborations thus far have been World of Warcraft and MMORPG, both of which made it to GA status while it was the MMOGCM.

As well, we now have an Outreach Department which works on this newsletter as well as spreads the word of our project.

WikiProject MMO is also now a participant in the Work via WikiProjects division of Wikipedia 1.0 and as such, we will be helping decide which are the best (based on quality and importance) articles within our scope. Project members can discuss which articles are to be included here.

News from the RuneScape Task Force
We are currently trying to improve this task force so that we can edit all RuneScape-related articles in an organized manner. To do that we started a massive overhaul which we invite all task force members to participate in.

We have also gotten our main article, RuneScape to good article status this quarter. All this, and the task force was only created in January.

Signed...
Greeves, Ed

On behalf of WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games.

To change your personal newsletter distribution preferences, please see the newsletter page from the Outreach Department.

[edit] Thanks for announcing the move

Thanks for posting the proposed move of RuneScape locations to Gielinor on the RS task force main page. I forgot that I could put it there. By the way, if you have time, could you take a look at the revision of the intro for RuneScape locations I plan on adding after the move? I currently am working on it in my sandbox. (Just ignore the other random stuff I have in there.) Pyrospirit Flames Fire 16:18, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I was halfway through posting my support for the move when the new messages bar lit up. I'll take a look, happy to help. :-) CaptainVindaloo t c e 16:22, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
