Daniel Paul Gibson (birth-named Alexandre Lamontagne) is the guitarist and the former member with Peter May of the Quebec band The Auximenes.
[edit] Biography
Daniel Gibson and Peter May are cousins. Dan had his first acoustic guitar at age of 2 from May's father. At the end of his elementary school, he had like new rock bands (Green Day, Sum 41, Blink 182, System of a Down, etc.) One of his friends showed to Daniel the hard rock band AC/DC. Gibson started to like "70's English rock" music, as his cousin already liked.
At secondary school, he wanted guitar lessons for the creation of a rock band called System of Paradise. The project has been suspended, because Peter May sent to him a demo of a Pink Floyd song, Wish You Were Here. May invited Gibson to come in his band, The Wannabees.
A demo album, On the Guitar, has been suggested, then abandoned for a real album, in preparation.
