I think this entry is terrific; it should never be deleted. -- Captain Sarcasm

Really? Because I thought it was obscure and uninformative, actually. -- Sergeant Oblivious

Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

Although this article may get deleted, I added an example image. Hey, it's very professional - fully linked right to the thread and not unsourced at all. D Marcescu 21:49, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removed examples

Phrases characteristic of someone called Captain Obvious include:
Superman can fly... in different speeds
My ride is here (when clearly the car is there)
The GL2 can transfer videos
Are you guys filming? (when they have a camera in their hands... turned on)

If anyone can rewrite these in ways that underscore the "obviousness" better, feel free to re-insert. In the meantime, though, it almost looks like most statements that have ever been made are "obvious" to a "Captain" degree. (For example, to anyone who knows to look at the history, it should be "obvious" that I removed that part, etc.) One example I might reccommend including is "You shouldn't consume arsenic, because it's poisonous." But I feel that one lonely example isn't enough to stand on its own. -- Lenoxus 18:52, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
