[edit] Bridge Incident
Someone should include the incident circa 2000 when a baby fell from the bridge onto the bank of the river. I'd do it, but I don't recall enough information about it. - Hinto 18:37, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
We work at Capilano Suspension Bridge, and we disagree. We don't think that that information belongs on this page because it doesn't explain about the beauty of our park. The park is a marvolous place for people of all ages, and the bridge is completely safe. We hope to see you at the bridge in the near future!

- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a promotion guide or advertisement space; encyclopedias contain facts. It's a fact that such event did happen on this bridge, and so, belongs in this article if one were to happen to add the information. It is also a fact that 800,000 people visit the park each year and (as far as I know) no one else has died, showing that the bridge is safe. Such information could be added too. We are not using this page as a promotion. We just don't want this one event to poison our page that time was spent on. Unless you can find an exact date and every detail about this event, please do not write about it.

- I noticed that you are being quite NPOV with the information you are adding and I applaud that. I also don't know the exact details about the event in question and therefore, am not writing about it. I'm just warning that if such information is added by another user, it can not simply be dismissed because it detracts from the "beauty" of the park. [edit] POV and accuracy concerns
As silly as it sounds, this article is riddled with opinionated POV. Sources for death and near-death incidents need to be cited as well. 69.236.184.108 09:38, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
- I had asked the original author of those additions to cite a source and has recently done so. I have also personally checked the facts and added some of my own along with sources. The incident involving the suicide is still up in the air. Zhatt 20:59, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
I am the original author of the incidents section. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any direct references to the suicide incident. Again, because it was a suicide and not reported on major media it is difficult to find. Therefore, the only way tht I can see this getting backed up would be to: 1) Have a copy of the death certificate for the individual in question, 2) provide a copy of the police report surrounding this incident. I am not sure on what steps are involved, and I imagine that this isn't information that is given out readily. Abu sme 07:18, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
