[edit] Suburb
Is it accurate to call Cape Schanck a suburb? I thought it was a town. (Melbourne suburban sprawl hasn't made it that far yet, has it?) -- Kevin Ryde 23:32, 12 February 2006 (UTC).
- Definitely not a suburb of Melbourne. Questionable whether it even qualifies as a town. It's just a coastal community of homes at "The Schanck". Rob Clark —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 203.166.10.34 (talk • contribs) 17 October 2006.
- As it is part of the Shire of Mornington Peninsula, it is within the Melbourne Statistical Area. I don't think it's accurate to call it a suburb (ABS doesn't try to), but it is a locality of Melbourne as far as the ABS are concerned, nonetheless. Orderinchaos78 15:23, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
