Captain Chaos is a solo a musical side-project consisting of Chris Johnston (a.k.a. Chris Clavin) from Ghost Mice (and formerly Operation: Cliff Clavin, among other bands). Occasionally Clavin utilizes his friends "Colorblind" Joe or McKayla for help. He plays mostly acoustic guitar but sometimes with bass and melodica. He has toured the US West Coast and Midwest multiple times.

All 6 albums are available in a hand-crafted wooden box set with hand-made art and a bonus disc of cover songs, available through Crafty Records. 51 of these have been made. The box set became officially available as of April 5th, 2007. Crafty Records worked with the other five labels that have released Captain Chaos albums in order to make all 6 CD's avaiable together.
