Capital Pride (Ottawa)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Capital Pride (French: Fierté de la capitale) is the annual gay pride event in Ottawa, Ontario, the capital of Canada, and the neighbouring city of Gatineau, Quebec. The parade often starts on Elgin Street, crossing over to Bank Street and usually ending around the intersection of Bank and Somerset.

The event has been troubled by financial problems in recent years, causing a complete turnover of organizers and a scaled back parade. The event has been held annually since 1986.
