Cape Leveque Road

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cape Leveque Road runs almost 200 kilometres up the Dampier Peninsular from Broome, Western Australia to Cape Leveque. The road is generally closed in the wet season as it becomes impassable due to flooding. When the road is open it is generally maintained poorly and is quite corrugated.

The road is vital for servicing communities on the Dampier Peninsular and is also a popular tourist attraction.
