Cape Dezhnev

Cape Dezhnev or Cape Dezhnyov (Russian: мыс Дежнёва) is a cape that forms the most eastern point of Asia, on Chukchi Peninsula in the Bering Strait, in Chukotka Autonomous Okrug of Russia. It is located 82 km across from the eastern Cape Prince of Wales in Alaska. In between, the Diomede Islands and Fairway Rock are located. It is named after Russian navigator Semyon Dezhnev (1605-1672), who discovered it in 1648.
The distance to Cape Baba on the western end of Anatolia, Turkey is 10,050 km, which is the largest dimension of Asia.
