This was a non-notable band as per the criteria set out in WP:Music. Perhaps Myspace is a better location for this information. (aeropagitica) 21:40, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Noah's Island Ep 10 - How To Be A Bear 005.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Noah's Island Ep 10 - How To Be A Bear 005.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:09, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Radiohead/Oasis
it would be very unusual to have two artists of that size headlining oxe; i just can't see it happening. anyway mcd should be announcing some headliners in the start of the new year iirc. *then* wiki policy supports adding them to the article. --Kaini 17:59, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:42347259_ipswich_strap416.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:42347259_ipswich_strap416.gif . I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Majorly 00:22, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

FAI National League
I've carried out some development on the FAI National League pages you created. However, would it be possible to enquire as to whether it was you who included this quote by an unnamed Dundalk F.C. official?:
- "What was the point of the league taking our players and fans all the way down to Waterford if it counted for nothing?"
If it was you, where did you get it and is there a verifiable source available? I've tried Googling it, but to no avail. Cheers. Danny InvincibleTalk|Edits 23:22, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- I think the quote fits in well and helps the continuity of that specific paragraph. It would be useful to keep. Maybe it's in the Argus link. I haven't registered to view it. Danny InvincibleTalk|Edits 00:07, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
AfD Nomination: Tinsel and Marzipan
I've nominated the article Tinsel and Marzipan for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Tinsel and Marzipan satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tinsel and Marzipan. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Tinsel and Marzipan during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Heimstern Läufer 22:02, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Screenshots
The copyright for images from a television show or movie stays with the copyright holder for that entity. It doesn't switch to you when you transform the image into a computer file either with a camera or a screen capture utility. I'm going to retag your recent image uploads as fair use, using {{Film-screenshot}} or {{Tv-screenshot}} which will limit which pages they can be used on. ~ BigrTex 16:39, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
After looking at a few of them, I'd like to suggest that if you're going to use your camera to take screenshots off of your television:
- You probably don't want to use a flash, since it leaves a bright spot in the middle of your pictures
- You probably want to turn off other lights in the room, the lamp is pretty but detracts from the image
I hope these are helpful. ~ BigrTex 16:51, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Possibly unfree Image:Gaa 001.jpg
It appears that this is another case where you took a picture of a copyrighted picture. Please clarify where the original picture came from. ~ BigrTex 19:51, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Image:Pic 001.jpg listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Pic 001.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. — BigrTex 20:28, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- The image I nominated for deletion on 28-Dec was deleted on 6-Jan. It was a blurry picture of a band on stage.
- Pic 001.jpg is a common enough name that someone has uploaded a picture in place of the one that was deleted. If you follow the link above to Wikipedia:Images_and_media_for_deletion/2006_December_28#Image:Pic_001.jpg, you will see that you agreed with the deletion at the time it was nominated. ~ BigrTex 18:29, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Closed AfD
Hey there, just so you know, whenever an AfD is closed, the AfD discussion page has to be updated to reflect this. I've gone ahead and done it for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tinsel and Marzipan. There are instructions on this here, in case you ever need to do this again (although normally only administrators can close them, so you probably won't need to worry about it much). Cheers! Removed Shrek the Third Tailer info
Recaps of trailers are not needed. They don't add substantial information. If you want to put into the normal plot summary that Prince Charming interrogates Pinnochio, go ahead, but a full blown recap of the trail is just excessive. Also, the images were too many when with that recap. There'll be time to expand when we have more information :) -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 02:59, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Oxegen1.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Oxegen1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
I will be adding the {{orfud}} tag to a number of your images this evening. I'll post a list here when I'm through. ~ BigrTex 02:02, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Hot Press
Hey you've done a lot of work on the Hot Press page, one thing we could refine is how the "regular features" is presented. It does give rise to the kind of vandalism that the aptly named 'magicspa' engaged in.
I'll try and start it but if we approach it softly.

Semi protection of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Just thought you should know that the template {{sprotected}} does not actually semi protect a page, it just notes that a page has been protected. Only admins can protect or semi protect pages. There is a longstandaing view that the main page feautured article should not be protected however. Although the target of much vandalism, it is the first page many see of the free encyclopedia anyone anyone can edit and its been felt to be offputting if that page cannot in fact be edited. Many users watchlist the mainpage FA and vandalism is reverted fairly quickly. Hope that clears up any confusion, WJBscribe 16:18, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
