Welcome to Can't sleep, clown will eat me's talk pageOldest peopleBart, can you ask a sysop to protect oldest people from editing by unregistered users? The amount of silly vandalism is heavy and a waste of time for everyone.→ R Young {yakłtalk} 18:07, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Help requestThis is specifically directed towards User:Can't_sleep,_clown_will_eat_me. If someone could copy this to his talk page, I would be very thankful. The IP I am currently on has been blocked for excessive vandalism (no surprise really, being a high school). The IP address is 210.11.188.19. I was wondering if you could unblock in order to restore the ability for logged-in users to be able to edit pages. I tend to have free time at school, and I enjoy reverting vandalism (yes, I know: I am sad). Thanks. (unsigned comment)
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Buck the World (3rd nomination)Hi Can't sleep, the article Buck the World was not tagged for AFD during Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Get Bucked, and the editor(s) of that article didn't seem to know about the AFD. So I've re-nominated Buck the World individually. You'll probably want to chime in at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Buck the World (3rd nomination). Cheers. —Quarl (talk) 2007-02-11 07:58Z Onteora Central School DistrictYou recently deleted Onteora Central School District, which at that time was an attack page with no reference value. Could you please check the history of that page to see whether there was a previous version worth salvaging and restore that previous version? http://onteora.schoolwires.com/ It is a school district in Boiceville, New York. --Eastmain 21:49, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
BarnstarHello, Can't sleep, clown will eat me, I've awarded you The Tireless Contributor Barnstar on your user page for your incredible amount of deletions, blocks and protects on Wikipedia. Thank you.Aboutmovies 07:23, 12 February 2007 (UTC) Full protect requestAny chance you can do a temporary full block of the Carlos Mencia page? There's a new video on Youtube (which to my understanding those videos can't be used as references because of copyright issues) and linked to Youtube from another comedian's site (but the video is technicall still on youtube) which is going to cause an inevitable edit war over the next few days. Plus his IMDB bio was vandalized and trolls are going to continue to use the false bio as a reference until IMDB fixes it. So please set the page up on full protect if possible. The page is edited nonstop normally, now its going to be worse. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by KimboSlice (talk • contribs) 20:51, 14 February 2007 (UTC) Guitar Hero IIIt has claimed many lives, but not mine - i stand alone... Tim Hardaway monitoringI'm headed to bed. I'd appreciate if you would keep track of the article if you are still up. I'd rather not semi-protect since most of the anon edits are productive. JoshuaZ 07:33, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Witness LeeIn regards to the below article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witness_Lee I suggest a layer of protection from unregistered users. I thought the purpose of Wikipedia was to provide an informative, encyclopaedic entry about a subject. However, some Christian fundamentalist apologists see this as a way to conduct religious war instead. Notably, the continued attempted addition of: On January 8, 2007, more than 60 evangelical scholars and ministry leaders from seven nations issued an unprecedented public appeal to the leadership of Living Stream and the "local churches" (available here), asking them to disavow and withdraw controversial statements made by Witness Lee on the doctrine of God and the doctrine of man. is way off-base. Reasons: 1. No news citation or other source. 2. Use of biased words such as 'unprecedented' 3. Witness Lee died in 1997 and has nothing to do with the current lawsuit 4. Any religious position can be seen as 'controversial' by those that don't believe it 5. Stacking the deck bias...most of the '60' are NOT NOTABLE and in fact this appears to be a coordinated effort, akin to politics. We could easily get a petition of '60 concerned scholars' who oppose the war in Iraq. Such a petition is not newsworthy unless covered by a major news source, which in that case would at the very least allow for an editing. Prior attempts to compromise by editing out words such as 'unprecedented' have been met with reverts and no compromise attempted. 6. Bad intent The purpose/goal seems to be to pressure the local churches/LSM to modify their personal beliefs to accord with said outside pressure. This is akin to the Inquisition, Salem Witchcraft Trials, or the burning at the stake of Christian protestants in the 1500's. The Catholic church was free to excommunicate Martin Luther, but to go further by burning people at the stake for being a member of a different faith is in fact one of the worst attacks on freedom in all of humanity. It seems that the battle for the mind is only challenged by the battle for earthly resources as to which is worse. Thus, it appears that the Witness Lee article is under bad-faith attack from those who put their own personal biases ahead of the principles of being a Wikipedian...not surprising considering the edits are being done ANONYMOUSLY BY UNREGISTERED USERS. Similar controversies exist around the Local churches and Living Stream Ministry articles...controversies that have LESS to do with the local church/LSM than they do to those who prefer to preach "You're going to hell unless you're a member of our congregation." I don't see local church members telling fundamentalist Baptists what their beliefs are. To try to state what another group believes through the lens of apologism is simply unacceptable.→ R Young {yakłtalk} 08:34, 17 February 2007 (UTC) Regarding transparent proxy08:53, 23 December 2006 Can't sleep, clown will eat me (Talk | contribs) blocked "218.186.8.11 (contribs)" with an expiry time of 9 fortnights (anon block) At least give the majority of the 300000 legitimate people on that shared IP address the chance to create an account and log in to edit. With your anon block non account holders can't edit at all until the ban ends, even though the ban that was put on this shared IP address was no fault of theirs. I seriously ask you to consider your lengthy block of not allowing all non account holders the chance to edit the articles on Wikipedia just because they can't create an account. UPN sockpuppetsHi, I'm not sure how this kind of stuff is supposed to go, but I have discovered a sock puppet of User:The UPN Vandal. He has made a lot of vandalism edits to The Simpsons Movie page and proof that this use is a sock puppet of the UPN Vandal can be found here) and created a dozen false soundtrack pages. Cretan TurksRegarding this protection, I think it's pointless. For some weeks now we've been discussing how the article is becoming a pov-fork of Cretan Muslims, but the editors who support the pov-fork version refuse to participate in discussion. They did not participate in Talk when the article was unprotected, so there's not a chance that they will do now. What happens when an editor (or group of editors) engage in edit-warring but refuse to discuss? Miskin 01:57, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Gonzo, if we assume that what you say is true, then you should have been supporting a rename of Cretan Muslims to Cretan Turks, and not the creation of a separate article (see WP:POVFORK). Miskin 11:12, 21 February 2007 (UTC) Smile!

I need helpSomeone (from his talk page repeatedly warned for senseless removals) has removed an important section from the Forensic entomology page. A lot of students use this page as an index to the insect families of forensic importance, so this has been very harmful. Note also his odd "Oh no" and "Oh no cAMERON FUHRMAN" on successive pages. I fixed his reverting this page to your revision as of 12:35, 16 January 2007, but the culprit gives me the impression he is trying to help excepting his comment "Oh no cAMERON FUHRMAN". This is difficult, but can he be stopped? Many thanks. Robert (Nash) as Notafly. Proposal for banningI would like to recommend the ip: 75.33.120.102 be banned, for excessive and repeated vandalism. Rather than allow users to see these new facts, KhoiKhoi has decided to simply delete them with no explanation and has blocked the talk page in an attempt to prevent others from restoring them. Its irrelevant as to whether or not its a contributor with a screen name or an anonymous IP, the fact is that evidence was provided, and it was immediately deleted. I'm not sure where to report Adminstrators for actions unbecoming of Wikipedia's TOS, so I was hoping maybe you would have some insight, thanks. 68.155.86.174 02:50, 23 February 2007 (UTC) DNC imam controversy -> Husham Al-HusainyHey, you just deleted the article at Husham Al-Husainy, which I had moved from the DNC imam controversy to a page about the imam involved. I moved the old article rather than create a new one so that the edit history of DNC imam controversy would remain in tact, but the new article had a very different focus, as it was a biography, not an event. I made the move and rewrote the article on February 22, and I was hoping to give people time to look over the new article. Umm, so I guess I'm just asking if you might resurrect the article, at the very least to give it a proper afd at the new name. If I've got the wrong idea about the process, let me know. Advice requestedHi Can't sleep. I've been attempting to overview and tidy up the geography cats which involve the places where people live. There appear to be two useful ways of doing it - by region, and by size. Organising by size is difficult because User:Hmains uses the term settlements to cover all sizes of communities, and has altered dictionary definitions [6] to fit his own understanding of the term - [7]. However, community appears to be the term used most often to describe the places where people live, regardless of size. This is the definition of community - [8]. Hmains has reverted much of my work, and insists on settlements being the term we should use - basing it on this decision, which was a declined proposal to rename Settlements by region to Populated places by region. What do you think? Is settlement the appropriate term for covering human communities ranging from well established cities down to refuge camps? Is Human community a viable alternative? Are there other choices? I have started a discussion here and here, with the above wording, but no response as yet. I have left this message on the talk pages of active Geography Project members. And then on this page. I am a bit lost as the best place to discuss this issue. I don't want to delete or rename any category. And I don't want to get into a revert war. I'd like an open debate to reach sensible consensus. I'm now leaving this message on the pages of WikiProject Category members. Can you advise? I'm not especially Wiki-literate and would appreciate some help with the Michael Bloomberg article. There have in the past been allegations that this page was POV. A lot of editing goes on by first time users, usually to remove things that are negative from the article. I'm not saying that means anything, but just so that you're aware there could be a problem. In keeping with the pages of other politicians, and to help calm allegations that it was POV, I added a section about Bloomberg's controversies (My thinking was that every politician, regardless of party, has to have some). I sourced it to the web pages of several (I think two or three) newspapers. That was edited to “Harassment Controversies” by another user. It has now been deleted by a first time user who has no other edits. What is the most wiki-friendly way to respond, please? Have a nice week and god bless :) --James, La gloria è a dio 19:44, 11 March 2007 (UTC) James, La gloria è a dio has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy editing! Jean-Paul HansfordThe article about Jean-Paul Hansford, which you deleted as {{a7}}, has been recreated, and the namesake editor who did so continues to remove the speedy tag, which he ironically posted in his original recreation of the article. - CobaltBlueTony 16:10, 14 March 2007 (UTC) Information regarding block of 213.166.17.22Hi, Can i have some information regarding the block you enforced on 213.166.17.22? WP:UW future?Hi, Sorry for the blatant spam, but you have yourself down as interested at WikiProject user warnings WP:UW. There is a discussion on going here that might be of interest to you about the future of this project. There are two strawpolls on the talk pages and the second one is about the future of the WP:UW project. Now we have the end in sight we are looking at wrapping up the project and merging it with Template messages/User talk namespace WP:UTM and creating a one stop shop for all userspace template issue. As you have yourself down as interested in this project we thought you may have some input on this issue, and would like you to visit the discussion and give any thoughts you may have on the matter. Cheers Khukri 10:13, 19 March 2007 (UTC) Got You on My MindHello there. Would you mind taking a look at this article? It refers to a jazz album created by William Gallison and Madeleine Peyroux. The album, and these artists, have been the subject of a copyright infringement lawsuit. An individual purporting to be William Gallison himself is altering this article (you'll see him ID himself in the history comments). Looking at what Wikipedia is WP:NOT, and looking at the edits that he may have made, I'm not sure if something should be done or not in this particular situation. Thanks for your time, JRHorse 05:10, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Images in Template:Infobox SchoolYou reverted an edit by User:Jdubman to Mission San Jose High School (dif), which clearly had to be done becasue of how the logo gif was enlarged and distorted. However, he seems to be doing a series of edits to make the image tag compliant with the Template:Infobox School design. See Category talk:Articles with incorrect school infobox format. It may be that the infobox design is a problem or that the tag needs to be different for jpgs and gifs--I'm not really able to tell what should be done, but it seems like somebody needs to advise them. --Hjal 05:43, 20 March 2007 (UTC) Bogdan BäderCan you, please, delete the article Bogdan Bäder as it is not in English? Extremely sexy 14:26, 23 March 2007 (UTC) PrashanthI noticed that I should have reverted several versions prior (to the version I reverted) to finally eliminate the vandalism. Sorry! Thanks for the unblockThanks for sorting that out: I'm back in business now. LeeG 19:37, 25 March 2007 (UTC) Fort Street High SchoolHi, cscwem, could you, please, change the edit rights of this page so that IP's cannot edit it? It's just irritating to see so many IP's vandalize the page: I mean, it's not a big hassle to revert it all, but it just saves the trouble of reverting and warning users. Thanks. --Qwerty (talk) 07:39, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Talk page deletionI know perfectly well why I gave you a warning. You deleted what I presume to be someone else's comment on an article talk page. --Umalee 20:47, 26 March 2007 (UTC) Matt Sanchez controversyThere is a tempest in a teapot brewing here. Note the issues: 1. Matt Sanchez is in violation of Wiki: Auto (editing his own autobiography) 2. Matt Sanchez continues to use hate speech, such as 'gay jihadists' and 'these fags' (see below) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Matt_Sanchez Wjhonson is another gay Jihadist. I have PUBLICLY stated that I am NOT a Homosexual REPEATEDLY and yet these fags have never put that into my article, however they have put the "gay hustler" label on me, although I have clearly stated that 1. Porn is prostitution 2. The films were directed toward men 3. there are similarities between myself and Rich Merritt AND Jeff Gannon. 4 I have only edited when these people have slandered me for their own pathetic agenda. 5. Who are these faceless cowards? I have put my name and e-mail on everything and they call me dishonest. Geez Bluemarine 23:15, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Matt Sanchez 3. Matt Sanchez is also using his article as 'advertising' and pushing an agenda, and has also recruited persons favorable to his agenda-pushing to help. For example, he adds 'original research' below [edit] Other activities Sanchez was a consultant for TIVO, Digital Cities, and helped to create an early model for web-ads called Clickables, which he sold for an undisclosed amount. He also created and optioned the Movie Minute[1] A Marine Corps Times article disclosed that his Military Occupational Specialty is 1161 that of a refrigeration mechanic. Mr. Sanchez recently became a partner in a public relations and marketing firm, but he refuses to name the firm citing political hate mail from internet attackers. And then his own Fox-news-spin version of things:
Critics have noted that Sanchez is in the middle of the culture wars by having been in the adult film industry and being a conservative. Hypocrisy is what critics have shouted, despite Sanchez' strong criticism of the adult pornographic industry and his former participation in that industry. Many prominent conservatives, David Horowitz, Kevin McCullough, Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter have come forward to support Cpl. Matt Sanchez, while many liberals and particularly homosexual activists have criticized him for hypocrisy--a criticism he stringently denies. The irony is, of course, that I am a Republican. I initially started out trying to defend Mr. Sanchez. However, it was not long before I realized that he is a compulsive liar, and has changed his story many times. He is now claiming NOT to have been a male escort, despite saying he was on video; having his IP address, phone number, and other items (i.e. magazine ads) linked to him; having said "I'm not denying it" on Salon.com, and having admitted it earlier. What a joke. It seems, in fact, Mr. Sanchez only backtracked when the military launched a 'don't ask, don't tell' investigation. Clearly, Mr. Sanchez enjoys stirring the controversy but now it seems out of control. I was surprised to see how little regard Mr. Sanchez has for Wikipedia, saying things like 'let's just delete the article,' vandalizing LGBT pages, and claiming that 'LGBT people should be barred from editing.' HELLO? Is this America? What happened to the 'free speech' he was so busy touting on campus not too long ago? Why am I telling you? Because we need some no-nonsense person who has the guts to stand up to a master manipulator, that's why. → R Young {yakłtalk} 05:14, 27 March 2007 (UTC) Simple PlanYou recently lifted the semi-protect from the Simple Plan article. I, as a regular contributor to the article, can tell you that, even with the semi-protect, the page still receives a substantial amount of vandalism. About a third of the edits are! When you lifted the semi-protect, the page was almost immediatly vandalised. I highly recommend putting back the semi-protect. That is all. — Ian Lee (Talk - Contribs - Sign - Gimme!) 09:43, 27 March 2007 (UTC) On feeding the clownIs there any penalty for putting pictures of non-foodstuffs (such as missile launchers) in the "Feed the Clown" section? Temple CityI would like to request a semi-protect to the Temple City, California article. It gets much vandalism, all from anonymous users... and the people who do contribute (which is basically only me and a few registered users who make minor edits) all have acounts. If it were semi-protected though, it wouldn't recieve vandalism, and it would still recieve the same amount of contributions, so please semi-protect it. Thank you! — Ian Lee (Talk - Contribs - Sign - Gimme!) 05:07, 28 March 2007 (UTC) Username commentHi, you blocked one of mt reports to AIV about a user and I wrote something similar to Sock of blocked user by Cant sleep clow... you know the rest lol and I noticed it was you who blocked him and I'd just like to say I hope you didnt take offence to it.
