[edit] Candyman Cover

"Do not remove without discussing at the talk page"???... I think you should discuss about the Candyman cover!!! No fake cover is needed!!!!!!!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.224.43.183 (talk) 07:11, 2 February 2007 (UTC).

HMV, which appears to be a pretty reliable source is using the cover (link). ShadowHalo 07:18, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

It doesn't matter, this cover is still a fake. The pic. which is used for the cover from the "Rolling Stone" pic. shoot!! No cover will be uploaded until the official cover is released!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.224.60.213 (talk) 13:54, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

You have yet to state why the cover is a fake, especially when it's being used by what look like a reliable source. As far as using a picture from a Rolling Stone photo shoot, please provide a reliable source to show where you found that information. Likewise, do not remove {{fact}} tags without providing a reliable source. Information on Wikipedia must be able to be verified with a reliable source; please read Wikipedia:Reliable sources for more information on this guideline. Regarding the indentation of the Pop 100 in the infobox, Wikipedia:WikiProject Songs#Chart positions shows that minor Billboard charts should be indented. Please refrain from unindenting minor charts in infoboxes. ShadowHalo 23:14, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Here are the pics from Rolling Stone photo shoot!! and you can see that this pic was used for Rolling Stone cover!! http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/christinaaguilera/photos/collection/photo/2/large http://christina-crazy.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=606 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.224.41.98 (talk) 09:48, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

When you said the Rolling Stone shoot, I interpreted that to mean that a picture from the RS shoot was going to be used (and that this one wasn't from the RS shoot, so it was fake). I'm still a little skeptical since HMV is using the cover and the cover also seems to be larger than the christina-crazy.net version, which shouldn't happen if it came from there. Since there is some doubt though, I'll refrain from reinserting the image. I've also left comments on the talk pages for two different users who added the images to see if they can tell us from where the images came. Hopefully we can get this settled soon, and thanks for your help so far. ShadowHalo 10:53, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Did you see both links... here is the second one again: http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/christinaaguilera/photos/collection/photo/2/large

Right, but it shouldn't be possible to make the possibly fake cover from that since there's text covering up part of her. (Just so you know, I was not the one who readded the image.) ShadowHalo 11:55, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

it could be that this cover is the right one...because in the video she has the same look and outfit —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.54.89.159 (talk) 14:06, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

I think we should wait and see, because the song and the video hasn't been released to radio or tv. And the cd will be released in march, so it doesn't make much sense, to release the cover. I am sure that this is just a fanmade cover!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.224.71.247 (talk) 15:32, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

I think the Candyman cover currently on Wikipedia is a fake one. The blue sky colored one seems to be the real one, since she is dressed with that blue outfit, just like in the music video. The fake cover isn't in anyway related to the song/music video. I will finish stating that HMV posted the real cover when the single could only be pre-ordered. Afterwards it changed it to the fake cover that is uploaded here, in Wikipedia. So HMV is not a reliable source. I went to search for the single near the place where I live, but only her albums where available. The times is running short, the single has been in the charts for eight weeks. I think we should track the real cover as fast as we can, and not until it drops out of the charts. Bull Borgnine 22:27, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] On Z100's playlist worth noting?

Is it worth writing in the article that the song is on Z100's playlist, without being officially released to radio stations? (http://z100.com/pages/media/playlist.html)

[edit] Official Candyman cover

As i told you guys, the first one was a fanmade and a fake cover. Christina's official UK site just released the official cover... http://www.christinamusic.co.uk/www/index.php —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.224.42.11 (talk) 10:12, 8 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] iTunes Chart Run

I added it's peaking iTunes chart position, but somebody deleted it saying that it "wasn't notable". iTunes is the, for a lack of a better word, shit nowadays. It shows how many people are buying the song. I think that it's "notable" enough to deserve it's own peaking chart.

No, it's really not. iTunes is not an official chart; that's why we use the Billboard Hot 100 and other national singles charts, which take into account digital downloads (including iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, etc.), singles sales, airplay, etc. See Wikipedia:Record charts. [edit] UK release

I've seen that the date of release in the UK has been changed too many times, I wonder when's the OFFICIAL release. First, March 26th, then April 2nd and now April 17th? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kraft. (talkcontribs) 05:06, 3 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Single-performance in Sweden

"Candyman" hasn't reached #35 in Sweden, the reference given is a list of the most downloaded songs in Sweden. There is a real chart, which compiles download-sales and single-sales, this can be found at either swedishcharts.com or hitlistan.se, so let's stick with these two sites.
