Canon Slade School is a Church of England Secondary School with Specialist Status in Performing Arts. It is located on Bradshaw Brow towards the northern edge of Bolton in the north-west of England. Set in 55 acres of grounds the school offers an enviable range of facilities and opportunities for its 1700 plus pupils. The school has a long history of providing academic education within a clear Christian framework dating back to 1855.

Canon Slade is a Voluntary Aided Church of England School in partnership with Bolton LEA and the Diocese of Manchester. The school is also a DfES Designated Performing Arts College, Leading Edge School and Training School.

The school recently celebrated its 150th Anniversary with a whole-school celebration held at the Bolton Arena. A range of items have been produced to commemorate the occasion.
