Candy Devine

Candy Devine is an Australian born broadcaster, singer, and actress. Her real name is Faye Mcleod (née Guivarra).[1] She is presently a radio broadcaster and singer in Northern Ireland.

Devine, a sugar cane farmer's daughter, was born in Innisfail, north Queensland. She was educated at Lourdes Hill in Brisbane. She also studied at the Queensland Conservatorium and plays cello and piano. Devine has also performed with the Australian jazz band Graeme Bell All Stars.

Her appearances in Australian television include the series Skippy the Bush Kangaroo and fronting for ABC's 'In Key'.

Devine is quoted as saying:

I’m pretty much an International Cocktail. With Spanish, Filipino, Polynesian, West Indian, Scottish, Ceylonese and Danish ancestry - there’s definitely no room for prejudice. [1]
