Candan Erçetin ['dʒandan 'ertʃetin] is a Turkish singer.

Candan Erçetin was born on 10 February 1963 in Kırklareli. She studied at Galatasaray High school, and completed her tertiary education at Istanbul University with a degree in Archaeology.

She was a member of the group Klips ve Onlar which represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 1986. She has released several music albums, including one in French . Candan has also starred in many musicals, most notably Yıldızların Altında. Ercetin is widely regarded as one of the greatest vocalists in Turkey[citation needed] and is instantly recognised by her signature fiery red hair although she started her career with black hair and her colours didn't change until her second album was released.
