The Cancioneiro da Biblioteca Nacional (in English: National Library Songbook) - formerly called Colocci-Brancutti - is a compilation of Galicean-Portuguese troubadour lyrics, the cantigas - cantigas de amigo (friend songs), cantigas de amor (love songs) and cantigas de escárnio e mal-dizer (scorn songs). These poems were compiled in Italy in the last years of the 15th century or in the first ones of the 16th century. The songbook was acquired by the Portuguese State in 1924 and is being kept in the National Library in Lisbon.
