Canadian Professional Soccer League

Canadian Professional Soccer League is a name that two Canadian semi-professional soccer leagues have used.

The first CPSL lasted for one summer season in 1983. It featured the Edmonton Eagles, Hamilton Steelers, Inter-Montreal FC, Missassauga Croatia SC, Calgary Mustangs, Toronto National. Edmonton defeated Hamilton 2-0 in the final.
Prominent players included Gordon Hill with Inter-Montreal and Randy Samuel of Edmonton.

Founded in 1997, the former CPSL changed its name to the Canadian Soccer League in 2006.
