Canadian College Draft

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Canadian College Draft, sometimes referred to as the CFL Draft or CFL College Draft is an annual sports draft in which the 8 Canadian Football League (CFL) teams select eligible Canadian born players that are either playing in the CIS (Canadian University Football) or the NCAA. Over the years this draft has been reduced to the current 6 round format starting off with the weakest team from the previous year. The previous year's Grey Cup Champion also drops to the 8th position in the draft.
