'Can't Shake Loose' was the third single in Europe and the first in the USA of Agnetha Fältskog's seventh solo-album.
The song was written by Russ Ballard who also wrote the successful "I Know There's Something Going On" by Agnetha's colleague Frida.
"Can't Shake Loose" was very successful in the USA where it reached No. 29 without any promotion by Agnetha (her only solo Top 40 hit there). In other countries the single was the least successful one from the album only reaching No. 22 in Belgium and No. 63 in the UK.
