Mike Campese-An all-around music performer, session artist and teacher competent in many musical styles, electric and acoustic. Mike is a NY based guitarist with many credits under his belt, with 4 solo Cds and 2 instructional videos. Mike's 4th solo c.d. "The New". The 18 song,72 minute CD features some of Mike's best work to date. "The New" Cd features 11 instrumentals and 7 vocal tunes. Campese proves on this Cd that he is one of the top versatile guitarists, with a strong sense of melody. There is something for everyone on this Cd. Shred lovers will love Mike's blistering solos throughout the Cd. "All Or Nothing" and "Before A Storm" is some of Mike's most ferocious guitar playing. Plus, there is some nasty grooves on the disc, like in the Fusion burner "Chompin at The Bit" and in the tune "Swing Thing", which, features some scary 32 note vocal scat lines. "A Cry With No Tears" and "Crying For Freedom" feature some of Mike's strongest melodies. Mike breaks out his acoustic guitar for the epic "Majestic Rays" and the romantic piece "Fur Ariel". Guitar Virtuoso Mike Campese constructs some well written compositions on this disc that people will love. He knows when to shred and when to be melodic.

Mike's 3rd release, Vibe demonstrates Mike's versatility as an artist and performer. In addition to composing and arranging all music on the CD, Mike performs all guitar tracks as well as bass, keyboards and vocals. "I feel Vibe is a true representation of my development as a writer and lead guitarist". His debut as a solo artist with the release of Total Freedom, established him as a versatile composer capturing many moods. On his second CD, Full Circle, he took his writing and arranging skills to a new level by including full band arrangements and incorporating vocals. Full Circle was regularly featured on National Public Radio (NPR) stations across the country, and Mike has appeared many times on Fox news, as well as on several national and local TV shows. Full Circle and "Vibe" is being played on many radio stations in the US, Europe, Asia, Austrailia and South America. The cds are also being played and distributed on Apple itunes, Rhapsody, Buy Music and Emusic. Mike was featured on the Jason Becker tribute CD, Warmth in the Wilderness, which was an international release on a Finnish label.
Mike has been a member of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and was awarded a Gold record for his work. Mike has performed extensively in venues throughout the Northeast as a solo performer and as the lead guitarist for a number of original bands. He appeared as the solo acoustic act opening for the B-52s. He also opened for headliners such as Yngwie Malmsteen 2 tours, Spin Doctors, KC and the Sunshine Band, Shotgun Messiah, Lizzy Borden, Vinnie Moore, Winger, Dokken, Sebastian Bach, Alex Skolnick, The members of Yes and Asia, Rik Emmett, Michael Shenker and others.
An honors graduate of GIT in Hollywood, CA, Mike provides private instruction in guitar and bass to both aspiring and professional musicians. He currently teaches more than 60 students weekly in the upstate NY area. He also regularly writes online lessons for the Guitar9 website, ibreathemusic, Chops from Hell, Truefire.com and is a featured instructor in Guitar Player magazine, check his lesson in the Nov, 2003 issue. Mike has released 2 multi-format instructional videos "Virtuoso Rock Fusion Concepts." and "Creative Speed-Building Picking Techniques" Mike continues to develop his musical knowledge with private instruction from such accomplished musicians as Bill Connors of the Chick Corea Band, guitar legend Stanley Jordan and jazz guitarist Wayne Krantz.
