Camanda is a native of Rhode Island, a small state located in the northeastern United States in a region called New England. She was born in the town of Coventry and has lived there ever since. In spite of the town being incredibly boring, she is very fond of it.
Camanda attended Coventry High School from 2001 to 2005 and currently attends the University of Rhode Island, which is located in Kingston, Rhode Island. She is majoring in journalism and minoring in music. She hopes to graduate sometime before she is thirty, and then get a job as a sports writer.

Camanda loves to read. Her favorite genre of books is non-fiction, especially books about politics, news media, music, and baseball. She reads fiction sometimes, but usually limits herself to novels about technology, science, or some combination thereof. Her favorite fiction writer is Michael Crichton, even though she thinks his more recent books are big loads of you-know-what.
The only two things Camanda loves more than books are music and baseball. She began playing the clarinet when she was in fourth grade. She gave it up for a short period to be in choir, but went back to it in high school. She served as the second-chair clarinetist for two years and had occasional solos and duets. In tenth grade, she picked up the tenor saxophone and joined the jazz band in her senior year. She had a solo at her graduation in June 2005.
As for baseball, Camanda is a glutton for punishment. Her home team is the Boston Red Sox. She loves them when they're winning, and loves them when they're losing, but loves them more when they're winning. Her favorite current Red Sox players are Curt Schilling and Tim Wakefield. She has a soft spot for the Los Angeles Dodgers as well, even when they're losing, which seems to happen a lot. Due to geographic problems, she can't follow them as closely as the Red Sox, but she does her best. Some of her all-time favorite players are Sandy Koufax, Ted Williams, Steve Carlton, Warren Spahn, Jimmie Foxx, and Greg Maddux, among many others.
Camanda's other main interests are driving on the expressway with her music playing loudly, sleeping, baking, yelling at the evening news, and organizing things. She spends her free time doing homework and writing for her website.
