Camulus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Celtic mythology, Camulus or Camulos was the god of war of the Remi, a celtic tribe, who has lived in the area of today's Belgium. Traces of his admiration are found, however, also in north Britannia. The town Camulodunum (now Colchester) was named after him and has been the basis for the mythic city Camelot. The Romans have linked Camulus to their god of war Mars.
