Campbell County High School (Tennessee)

Campbell County High School (CCHS) is a comprehensive secondary school located in Jacksboro, Tennessee which was established in 1975. As of 2005, the school principal is Gary Seale. Approximately 1,300 students enroll at the high school annually, greater than double the state average.

On November 8, 2005, the school was the victim of an on campus shooting. Then 15-year-old student Kenneth Bartley Jr. shot three school administrators using a .22-calibre handgun. The three victims of the shooting were principal Gary Seale and assistant principals Ken Bruce and Jim Pierce. Ken Bruce was fatally shot in the chest, while Seale and Pierce are currently in serious condition at the UT Medical Center. Assistant principal John Turnblazer is filling in for Seale while he recovers.
