Campaign to Boycott the Dollar

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Campaign to Boycott the Dollar is a movement started by leftist organization The Boycott Bush International Network, which claims that the use of the United States dollar as international currency is financing international American military supremacy, which in turn is used to maintain the dollar as the world's reserve currency. The dominance of the dollar gives the US apparent limitless spending power that allows it to keep troops stationed in military bases around the world

The proponents of the dollar boycott maintain that the use of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency gives the US the ability to maintain a fiscal deficit, as well as a trade deficit, and depend on the world to finance them.
