[edit] Chairman of Midland Health Board
During the 1990's Camillus Glynn served as chairman of the then Mdland Health Board. While in this position Camillus actively promoted the expansion of Tullaore General Hospital and the downgrading of Mullingar General Hospital. As part of this plan, a large extension to Mullingar General Hospital built during the Opposition's last period in government was purposely left idle. This decision has caused much upset among locals who have tried everything in their power to get the current government to open it. This issue will likely be a contentious issue during the upcoming general election and will likely contribute to the downfall of this government.
