Camilla Urso

Camilla Urso (1842–1902) was a French violinist, born at Nantes, France. She studied with Massart in Paris, and, about 1852, played in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and other American cities. She was exceedingly successful, especially in concerts with Alboni and Sontag. She returned to France after having toured Canada, and in 1866 again visited New York. Subsequently she made tours of Australia and South Africa. After 1895 she lived in New York.
