Camili

Camili (original Georgian name ხერთვისი, Khertvis(i)) is a village in Borçka District of Artvin Province. Camili stands for the official name given by Turkish authorities in 1925, it literally means "(the place) with the mosque". Camili is also a name of vicinity which includes five villages; Düzenli (Zedvake), Efeler (Eprat(i)), Kayalar (Kvabitav(i)), Maral (Mindiet(i)), and Uğur (Akria). Camili and the other villages of vicinity settled in Machakhel(i) valley. So this vicinity is also known as Machakhel(i).
