[edit] Character
He was introduced in April 2006, and was at the time in a coma induced by his twin brother Robert (also played by Hunter). He is the son of Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), and Gail Robinson (Fiona Corke).
Robert disguised himself as his brother Cameron to try and tear the Robinson family apart. During the several months, he had framed Izzy for cheating on Paul with himself, and planted a car bomb in his sister Elle's car. In Episode 5000, Robert lured Paul into a cave and caused the cave to collapse, intending to kill Paul. Robert fled the scene after his mother Gail, sister Elle, and Paul's then girlfriend Izzy confronted him. Robert returned later to kidnap his ex-girlfriend Katya Kinski. During the time that Robert held Katya hostage, Paul and Gail planned to lure Robert back by holding a fake wedding. This plan succeeded, and after Robert managed to shoot Paul, Robert was arrested. Cameron was eventually set free.
Cameron's memory of being in a coma has started to come back to him. He remembers nun Carmella talking nervously on the phone in the hospital he was staying in. He has confronted her about it, she first denied it, then admitted she had been talking on the phone about something but refused to tell him what.
After he settled into the family, Cameron found out about Elle lying about her illness and about Paul encouraging her. He storms out, rejecting the family. He soon comes across Katya Kinski, who had dated Robert, and offers her a lift to a Tibetan seminar. At the same time, Robert, while in prison, was said to have escaped. Katya thinks that Cameron is Robert and bails out of the car. Confused, Cameron chases after Katya to give her her bag. Mistaking Cameron for Robert, Max drives the car into Cameron. Cameron is fatally wounded and taken to hospital.
Elle and Paul think that it is Robert in hospital but Senior Sergeant Steiger reveals that Robert is still in prison. Elle and Paul soon discover that it is really Cameron in hospital. Paul then discovers from Karl that Cameron is not likely to recover. Paul delivers a spine-chilling threat to Max, saying that if Cameron dies, he will kill Max. Max later apoligises to Cameron. Cameron accepts his apology, saying that it wasn't his fault. Cameron had emergency surgery but died on the operating table.
