From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the United Kingdom's thirty-two NHS Foundation Trusts. It provides healthcare for people in the Cambridge area, in southeast England. The trust's hospitals include Addenbrooke's Hospital on the southern outskirts of the city, which has an annual budget of £300 million, has around 1,100 beds and employs over 6,500 staff, and Fulbourn Hospital, a psychiatric hospital situated in the village of Fulbourn, just outside Cambridge. Besides being a major healthcare provider, the Hospital is also a site for world-class medical research, with the Medical Research Council and the Wellcome Trust, and provides clinical education for medical students from the nearby University of Cambridge.
