Camberwell High School is a government funded, co-education high school for years 7 to 12 in Prospect Hill Rd Canterbury, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

[edit] School Philosophy and History

Camberwell High School aims to achieve the best results in Academic, Sport, the Arts, Debating as well as other extra curricular activities. The school regularly sends teams off to state competitions often taking out the state championship itself. Numerous individuals have won Premiers awards this year as well as in previous years, a group of awards given to the best students in an academic field. The school was briefly held by Melbourne High School during World War II as the Royal Australian Navy was using Melbourne High School as a training base.

The four Houses with their associated colours are:

The names for the houses were derived from war heroes and leaders of World War II. As Camberwell High School was opened in 1945 after the completion of the war, the houses were named after the leaders of the United States and the United Kingdom as well as the US and British Generals.
