[edit] Character history

Calvin is oldest of the Valentine children and is a straight–laced police officer. He tells his mum that he is planning to move out not long after moving in. He clashes with his younger brother Sonny, as Calvin doesn't like Sonny's friends. He plans to move in to a flat with his best friend, fellow police officer and mentor Eddie. On his first day on the beat he is called to a hit and run and notices that the victim is none other than his Mum, Diane.

Calvin was present in The Dog when Sam Owen caused an explosion and fire, killing himself and four others. Calvin may have inadvertently been the cause of the fire starting, as he hit Sam in the head with a bar glass and caused him to drop the lighter.

Ironically, Calvin was the one who saved Jake Dean's life, despite Jake being the one that killed Calvin's mother. He has taken on the role of patriarch of the family household and let Justin Burton, who had fallen on hard times, come and live with them. However, Justin was recently asked to move out to allow Louise Summers, Calvin's girlfriend, to move in.

Calvin also used to be friends with Warren Fox but he is now his rival for the affections of Louise.
