Calvin Harris is the stage name of a Scottish electronic musician from Dumfries. His new song Acceptable in the 80s reached #10 on the UK Singles Chart in 2007, receiving coverage on the radio and music channels such as MTV.

Harris states that he has no DJ experience, so his live performances feature him singing along with a support band (rather than behind a mixer).

According to a BBC report and a blog on his MySpace profile[1], Harris is working with Kylie Minogue on a track for her new album, after coming to the attention of a record producer who passed on his details to the star.

Harris is currently supporting British dance band Faithless on their UK tour, including a performance at this years Global Gathering Dance Music Festival.
