Calor Village of the Year

The Calor Village of the Year is a competition organised by British gas provider Calor to identify the village that best meets the following criteria of a well-balanced, pro-active, caring community which has made the best of local opportunities to maintain and enhance the quality of life for all residents.

Three separate competitions are run:

  • Calor Village of the Year for England
  • Calor Village of the Year for Wales
  • Calor Scottish Community of the Year

The competition began in 1997 and has run yearly since. Some 1,650 villages enter the competition each year.
