Calocaerus was Magister pecoris camelorum ("Lord of the sheeps and camels") in Cyprus. In 333-334 he revolted, proclaiming himself Emperor. Constantine sent Flavius Dalmatius to quell with the rebellion, and Calocaerus was defeated, trialled and executed in Tarsus in Cilicia.
