Callista

Callista comes from the Greek for "Most Beautiful" (kallistos). It is an uncommon name for girls.
As a name it is derived from Callisto; in Greek mythology, Callisto was a huntress who was loved by Zeus. Callisto was changed to Callista for use as a name because in English Callista is the feminine form.

- The genus Callista of clams in the family Veneridae, which includes the smooth clam C. chione
