Callie Khouri

Callie Khouri (born 27 November 1957, as Carolyn Ann Khouri) is an American screenwriter and film director. Her first produced screenplay was Thelma & Louise, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen in 1992. She also wrote Something to Talk About and co-wrote and directed Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. She co-wrote and is slated to direct Mad Money, a crime-caper film slated to star Diane Keaton. Khouri is married to writer/director/producer David W. Warfield and lives in Santa Monica, California.
