[edit] Plot synopsis
After a strange vulture starts to steal diamonds and jewels, Batman decides to find out who's behind this. It turns out that the crook is the rude and selfish Osward Cobblepot, aka Penguin, whom attends Bruce Wayne's party. Alfred tries to catch Penguin for his misbehavior at the party, but unfortunatley, Penguin catches Alfred. Batman must find Penguin's mansion and save Alfred, as well as defeat Penguin and return all the jewels and gems he's stolen.
[edit] Plot summary
After several rich people are robbed in their high-rise penthouses, Batman becomes suspicious. He finds evidence at the latest burglary, pointing to an uncommon owl.
Before he can investigate further, however, he must attend a charity ball at his mansion as Bruce Wayne. There, he meets the latest bachelor in town, a short, podgy man named Oswald “Ozzy” Cobblepot, and his two Kabuki escorts whom he picked up on his latest trip to the orient. Bruce, as well as the rest of the guests, are immediately annoyed by the crude little man, especially Alfred. Alfred reveals that his grandfather used to butler for the Cobblepot’s, and also reveals that the Cobblepot family squandered it’s fortune. Alfred confronts Cobblepot, informing him that his name does not appear on the guest list, and that if he wishes to stay, he will have to make a contribution. Oswald, and his two silent Kabuki Twins, leave the party angrily.
Later, on the rooftops of Gotham, Batman watches the skies as dozens of birds fly past, each carrying burgled goods such as jewelry. He watches as each bird then drops the spoils down below into the trunk of a car - right next to one of Cobblepot’s Kabuki assistants. As Batman drops down into the alley for closer investigation, he is attacked by the second Kabuki villain, who shears off one of the wings of his Bat-Glider as she leaps down on him from above. As he crashes into the pavement, Batman looks up in time to see the Kabuki Twins shed their ceremonial green robes and black wigs, revealing slick, red, skin-tight body suits. The two women’s fingers are shown to be long, pointed blades, and their faces remain hidden behind the white Kabuki masks. After a short fight, the two villains get away in the car, leaving Batman in the alleyway. He realizes that Cobblepot must be behind the high-rise robberies, using his birds as the thieves.
Meanwhile, back at Wayne Manor, Alfred discovers that Cobblepot had stolen his serving tray at the party. He heads over to the crumbling remains of Cobblepot Manor out of curiosity, and snoops around before he successfully finds his serving tray. However, he becomes trapped when Cobblepot returns. He manages to hide, but his presence is given away when Bruce phones Alfred on his cell phone. Cobblepot quickly finds him, and with the help of the two Kabuki Twins, he ties Alfred down, to be eaten alive by Cobblepot’s enormous roost of birds. Batman bursts through the sunroof of the aviary, and Cobblepot, now preferred to be called Penguin, reveals his motives - he wishes to gain back his fortune by stealing it from others. A fight ensues after the Kabuki Twins are trapped in a cage, and Penguin reveals his kung fu skills that he has only recently picked up. He uses two trick umbrellas as weapons, chasing Batman up and down the branches of the large roosting tree. Batman manages to catch the end of Penguin’s chain weapon (a scythe head on a chain), and pulls him forwards, right into Batman’s fist. Penguin topples to the floor, seemingly defeated, while Alfred, now freed, begins to thank Batman for saving him. Penguin sits up once again, refusing to be taken down, but Alfred throws his serving tray at a lever, which spills several pounds of bird seed on top of the Penguin, trapping him. As Alfred and Batman turn, they notice the two Kabuki Twins have disappeared from their cage, leaving only their masks…

[edit] Quotes
- Penguin: Please, now that all pretenses are off, call me Penguin. A flightless bird, but one with style.
- Penguin: (after Batman arrives) So, the tales of the Batman are true. Really, who would name himself after a mangy flying rodent?
- Penguin: (to Batman) Bring it on, rodent boy!
- Bruce: Have we met?
Penguin: Cobblepot. Oswald Cobblepot. Of the new casual Cobblepots. But call me Ozzie. We have a lot in common, you and I. We are rich and handsome.
Bruce: I don't think I've ever heard of--
Penguin: I've been abroad. Just got back from the tour of the Orient.
